The Nationwide Health and Disability Service is seeking an experienced Quality and Practice Improvement Advisor in Christchurch to join our small Quality team. This is a fulltime position and an opportunity to contribute to meaningful organisational improvement and better outcomes for people and communities. We’re looking for a professional who is passionate about continuous improvement, operational excellence, and building capability to strengthen practice and improve outcomes.

Mō te mahi | About the role - What you’ll be doing

  • Support and strengthen quality assurance and continuous improvement.
  • Use data and insights to identify risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to lift practice and service delivery.
  • Help develop and support the implementation policies, procedures, and best practice standards.
  • Build strong relationships that enable collaboration and shared learning.
  • Champion culturally responsive practice to improve consumer outcomes.

Mōu | About you - What you’ll bring

We are seeking integrity, resilience, and sound judgement.

  • A pragmatic problem solver who is inventive and can think outside the box.
  • Experience in quality improvement/assurance, practice development, or a similar advisory role.
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills, with the ability to turn insights into practical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), relationship management, coaching, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and as part of a team, and adapt quickly responding confidently to changing priorities.
  • Commitment to culturally responsive practice, continuous learning, and better outcomes for health and disability consumers.
  • Essential experience in Microsoft Office and organisational systems, including CRM platforms.
